The Plot:

Cinnamon is the story of commitment-phobic Theodore Atwater the Third, who returns home to attend the funeral of his grandmother, but only after convincing his girlfriend Sophia that a funeral isn’t exactly the best place to meet his dysfunctional family. The night before the funeral, Theodore’s grandfather, Teddy, pulls the young man aside and makes one final request of his grandson. Handing him a cigar box full of risqué photos, erotic trinkets, and cash, his grandfather asks Theodore to find him a prostitute.

Theodore struggles with the decision to help his grandfather, at the same time taking the flack for not introducing his girlfriend to the family. Theodore ultimately arranges for a lady friend to visit his grandfather, but in the confusion following the prostitute’s arrival at the house Theodore’s spurned soon-to-be ex-girlfriend makes a surprise visit and mistakenly finds herself in Teddy’s room late at night...

We aren't going to give away the ending, but let’s just say that it’s not what you expect. Ultimately, young Theodore confronts his fear of commitment and the Atwater family learns a little more than they might have wanted to know about the physical relationship between Theodore Atwater Senior and his recently deceased wife.

In the end Cinnamon is an exploration of love, memory and the parts of our lives that we never share with those closest to us.
